“What could be worse than being alone in a hospital with no family at your side to provide comfort and love?”
Sivasi Illam is located only a kilometer from the Jaffna General Hospital, where family can stay without charge to remain nearby their hospitalized child, spouse or parent.
Patterned after the Ronald McDonald House Charities for hospitalized children, we are partnering with the welfare society of Jaffna General to provide:
- Privacy sleeping area and bed linens and pillow if needed
- Shower and toilet facilities including towels, soap and toothpaste if needed
- Dining area with drinking water and hot water for tea and coffee etc.
- Shelves for storing change of cloths
- Relaxation area
